HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/15/1976 (Budget)March 15, 1976 The Council of City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 8:00 A.M. on March 15, 1976, pursuant to the follow- ing call: TO: CITY COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 8:00 o'clock A.M. on Monday, March 15, 1976, and that said Special Meeting is being called for the purpose of a hearing and adoption of the Fiscal 1976 Budget. You are further notified that no other business except the above will be trans- mitted at said Meeting. (Signed) Leo P. Motion carried. 69621 - Moved by Dowie, seconded Notice of Hearing on the July 1, 1976 to June 30, ceived and place On file. by Bowers, that Copies of the Call for the 15, 1976 at 8:00 A.M., be received and placed by Bowers that proof of publication of the Budget Estimate for the 12 months period of 1977 for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be re - Motion carried. 69622 - The Mayor Pro Tem announced the time had arrived to hear objections, if any, and called for written and oral objections. The Clerk re- ported no written objections on file and no one appeared to object orally. March 15 1976 - 2 69622 - (Continued) Moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers that "Resolution approving and adopting the Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 1976 -June 30, 1977 for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as previously read and published in the Waterloo Courier on March 9, 1976", be adopted and it shall be as hereinafter stated in the Budget Summary Certificate, and the City Clerk be and she is hereby instructed to file the adopted Budget with the County Auditor as provided by law, said Budget being in words and figures as shown on the following page (see page 3) Ayes: Bowers, Dowie, Getty, Roehr, and Wilharm. Nayes: Geiger and Lichty. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor Pro Tem, as- signed No. 24479 in official resolution book. 69623 - Moved by Getty, seconded by Roehr that the Council adjourn.
