City Attorney Smith asked Earnest Jones, Jr., Manager of Brown Owl, if he or the Satin Doll Corp. had any objections to changing the date for action from June 7, 1976 to June 1, 1976, and he had no objections and said neither did the owner. Motion carried. 70090 - Mayor Rooff stated his recommendation of 5/24/76 for denial still stood as 66 police calls in one year was too many. Earnest Jones, Jr. felt some of the trouble calls could have been due to faulty alarm system which had been removed, and stated he has been with the Brown Owl since November, 1975. Mayor Rooff reported for the period of 6/1/72-5/30/73 there were two calls, 1973-1974 eight calls, 1974-1975 fifteen and 1975-1976 sixty-six calls, since November, 1975 thirty-one calls. These calls were to settle fights, drunks, etc. There was a discussion on selling drinks to intoxicated persons, etc. Mayor Rooff stated all licenses coming up for renewal would be given a good look as to what was going on.
