Mayor Bernard L. McKinley in the Chair. Roll call: Budak, Seeber, Lichty, Wright, Angel, Dowie and Miller. Invocation by: Reverend Randolph McHone, Grace Lutheran Church. Pledge of Allegiance: Paula Rowell, Karrie Wesley, Michelle Doering and Jennifer Jamieson of Girl Scout Junior Troop 526. 89908 - Moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as amended, for the Regular Session of January 12, 1987, at 7:00 p.m., be accepted and approved. Motion carried. 89909 - Moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that the Minutes of the Regular Session held January 5, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. be approved. Motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 89910 - Mayor McKinley stated that he would recommend to the Council that the agreement for early termination of the lease between the City of Waterloo and Garret DeBoer, owner/operator of Foxy's Bar, 715 Sycamore Street, be based on the receipt of a request for termination by letter from Mr. DeBoer. Moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that communication from City Planner transmitting request of Garret DeBoer, owner/operator of Foxy's Bar, 715 Sycamore Street, requesting early termination of occupancy agreement be placed on file and upon a receipt of written 30 -days notice from Mr. Deboer that said agreement be terminated be received, placed on file and "Resolution approving said request", he adopted. Ayes: Seven. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor assigned No. 1987-6 ORAL PRESENTATIONS 89911 - Bonnie Jackson, 327 Farrington, asked if the Mayor and City Council had received any communications from Intro -Spec regarding their proposed rejuvenation of the former Rath property. Mayor McKinley responded that he had not received any communications from Intro -Spec but was of the understanding that the project was still a go. Bonnie Jacksonstatedthat there were many concerned citizens in the community over the City/Intro-Spec deal and that she would ask the Mayor and Council to file a suit against Intro -Spec for defaulting on the payment for the property. Moved by Wright, seconded by Dowie that the above comments be received and placed on file. Motion carried.
